What is IO12?
What is HUBBOX IO12 I/O Gateway?
HUBBOX IO12 is a remote I/O gateway device operating on the Modbus TCP/IP protocol, designed for fast and reliable data collection in industrial automation fields. It provides seamless integration with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, reducing complex wiring costs and increasing operational efficiency.
Hardware and Capacity Features
- 8-Channel Digital Input/Output (DIQ): Used for limit switch monitoring, button states, and digital signal management.
- 2-Channel Analog Input (AI): Reads 0-10V sensor data with 12-bit precision.
- 2-Channel Analog Output (AQ): Generates 0-10V signals for proportional valve or motor drive control.
- 2-Channel PWM Output: Provides precise speed and power control with frequencies ranging from 1Hz to 100KHz.
- Ethernet: Offers stable data flow at 10/100 Mbps speeds.
Modbus Poll Connection Guide
The Modbus Poll software is the most effective tool for testing the device and simulating field data. Use the following configuration for connection:
Default Connection Parameters:
• IP Address:
• Subnet Mask:
• Port:
• IP Address:
192.168.24.251• Subnet Mask:
255.255.255.0• Port:
502 (Modbus TCP)Step-by-Step Connection
- In Modbus Poll, navigate to "Connection > Connect".
- Select "Modbus TCP/IP" as the connection type.
- Enter the device's default IP address:
192.168.24.251. - Once the connection is established, use the addresses below via the "Setup > Read/Write Definition" window.
Basic Register Address Table
| Data Type | Starting Address | Description | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coils (01) | 1 - 8 | Digital Output Control (Out1 - Out8) | R/W |
| Discrete Inputs (02) | 10001 - 10008 | Digital Input Status (Input1 - Input8) | Read |
| Input Registers (04) | 30001 - 30002 | Analog Input Data (0-4095 raw value) | Read |
| Holding Registers (03) | 40044 - 40045 | Analog Output (Dac1 - Dac2) Control | R/W |
| Holding Registers (03) | 40004 - 40007 | Device IP Configuration (Octets) | R/W |
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Counter Reset: To reset the rising edge counters on the device, simply write the value
10 to Holding Register 40003.- LED Status: LEDs on the front panel indicate the active status of DIQ, AI, AQ, and PWM channels. If the Ethernet LED is off, check your network cable.
- Reset Button: The reset button on the device can be used to restore factory settings if network configuration errors occur.
- Power Requirements: Ensure a power supply within the 12-35 VDC / 3A range for stable operation.
